Welcome to On Demand Moving. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services. By using our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our services.
#### Services
On Demand Moving provides moving, packing, unpacking, and related services. The specifics of the services provided will be outlined in the service agreement provided at the time of booking.
#### Booking and Payment
- **Quotes and Estimates:** All quotes and estimates provided by On Demand Moving are based on the information provided by the customer. Final charges may vary based on actual conditions and services rendered.
- **Deposits:** A deposit may be required to secure your moving date. This deposit is non-refundable but will be applied to your final bill.
- **Payment Terms:** Full payment is due upon completion of the move unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. We accept cash, credit cards, and certified checks.
#### Cancellation Policy
- **Notice:** Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled move. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee.
- **Refunds:** Deposits are non-refundable unless the cancellation is due to an error on the part of On Demand Moving.
#### Liability and Insurance
- **Basic Coverage:** On Demand Moving provides basic coverage for loss or damage to items during the move at no additional cost. This coverage is based on weight and is limited to $0.60 per pound per item.
- **Additional Insurance:** Customers may purchase additional insurance coverage for their belongings. Please inquire about options and pricing.
- **Exclusions:** On Demand Moving is not liable for:
- Items packed by the customer unless there is clear evidence of mishandling.
- Loss or damage to items of extraordinary value (e.g., jewelry, cash, antiques) unless such items are disclosed and additional insurance is purchased.
- Damage to items caused by inherent vice, defect, or the nature of the item itself.
#### Customer Responsibilities
- **Packing:** Customers are responsible for packing their belongings unless they have requested and paid for packing services. All items should be packed securely in sturdy boxes.
- **Inventory:** Customers should create an inventory list of all items being moved and note any pre-existing damage.
- **Accessibility:** Customers must ensure that moving locations are accessible and that any necessary permissions (e.g., parking permits) are obtained in advance.
#### Disputes and Claims
- **Reporting:** Any loss or damage must be reported to On Demand Moving within 72 hours of the move. Failure to report within this time frame may result in the denial of the claim.
- **Resolution:** On Demand Moving will work to resolve any disputes or claims in a fair and timely manner. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute may be subject to arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
#### Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any legal action or proceeding related to these terms shall be brought exclusively in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Lenawee County, Michigan.
#### Changes to Terms and Conditions
On Demand Moving reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. The latest version will always be available on our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes to these terms.
